AERO-PHOTOGRAMMETRY and LIDAR

Drone Arezzo specialises in aerial photogrammetric, LIDAR and topographic surveys using UAVs. We process the acquired data through GIS and CAD software to generate detailed orthophotos, 3D models, DEMs, and volume calculations, catering to the needs of geologists, architects, and government agencies.

UAV survey technology

 

This technology is the natural evolution of traditional topographic surveying. It is particularly effective for monitoring large areas or locations where access is limited.

APPLICATIONS

 

Surveying inaccessible areas, landslides, construction sites, quarries, and open-cast mines. Surveys can be carried out quickly and are easily repeatable to monitor changes over time.

 

DIGITAL ELEVATION MODEL (DEM) AND DATA QUALITY

 

The DEM model is compared with RTK GPS data to bring the final model as close to reality as possible. Following multiple refinements in survey procedures, we can ensure maximum deviations in elevation data, particularly in vegetation-free areas, are limited to 5 cm.

The average error for Ground Control Points (GCPs) is around 3 cm, while the planimetric component exhibits an average error ranging from 3 to 5 cm.
